Welcome to the SmartSIP® Interactive Demo. This demo will walk you through the steps taken by the SmartSIP Secure Server to ensure sensitive data is received and processed securely. You will be asked to perform actions as both the customer and the agent.

SMARTSIP AWAITS DATA
At this point SmartSIP is not yet active, but sits quietly behind a secure firewall ready to intercept the customer’s sensitive data.

AGENT REQUESTS INFORMATION
SmartSIP is activated when a credit card screen is presented to the agent. The agent asks the customer to enter her credit card information using her telephone keypad. The sensitive information will be represented as a series of asterisks on the agent’s screen.

CUSTOMER INITIATES CALL
When the customer call is delivered to the agent, a call connect event is passed through the IntraNext CTI server to the agent's workstation and a screen pop occurs.

SENSITIVE DATA INPUT
As the customer enters their information, the sensitive digits are intercepted, and the tones are suppressed rendering them undecipherable. Each digit is then represented on the agent’s screen by a series of asterisks.

Press the “4” key on the virtual phone keypad to start the card entry process in the agent’s monitor.

The customer continues to input expiration date and CVV.

READY TO SUBMIT
SmartSIP temporarily holds the sensitive information in encrypted server memory and performs a Luhn/MOD-10 check to confirm the validity of the card number. The agent now has collected the non-sensitive information needed to submit the transaction for processing.

Press the SUBMIT button to continue the transaction.

TRANSACTON COMPLETED

The transaction is sent to the Payment Service Provider for processing. Once the transaction has been successfully completed, the agent is alerted.

Though the consumer and agent have remained connected throughout the transaction process, the agent has not been exposed to any of the consumer's sensitive information.

TRANSACTION SUBMITTED
The transaction is sent to the Payment Service Provider for processing. Once the transaction has completed, the agent will be notified.

DATA PROCESSING
Within the SmartSIP server, the customer’s sensitive information is combined with non-sensitive transaction information.

CONTINUE

TRANSACTION COMPLETED
The agent received notification that the transaction has been completed. Though the agent and customer have remained in constant voice contact throughout the transaction, the agent has neither seen nor heard any input of the customer’s sensitive data.
